    Průběh obhajoby sestává z těchto bodů: 1) předseda zkušební komise uvede kandidáta a jeho téma, představí posudky školitele a vedoucího školícího pracoviště, 2) kandidát prezentuje podstatu práce (cca 15 min.), může následovat krátká diskuze (max. 5 min.), 3) oponenti představí své posudky (cca 15 min.), 4) kandidát odpovídá na otázky oponentů (cca 15 min.), zpravidla formou prezentace, 5) všeobecná diskuze (cca 10 min.), 6) neveřejné zasedání komise (cca 10 min.), 7) vyhlášení výsledku.

    The defense process consists of the following steps: 1) the chairman of the examination committee introduces the candidate and his/her topic, presents the opinions of the supervisor and the head of the training department, 2) the candidate presents the essence of the work (approx. 15 min.), a short discussion may follow (max. 5 min.), 3) the opponents present their reviews (approx. 15 min.), 4) the candidate answers the opponents' questions (approx. 15 min.), usually in the form of a presentation, 5) general discussion (approx. 10 min.), 6) closed meeting of the committee (approx. 10 min.), 7) announcement of the result.
