Italian irredentism

Italian irredentism before I World War was in my opinion completely understandable and natural. It arised from the political and social movement (commonly known as Risorgimento) that resulted in the consolidation of different italian states into one single state, the Kingdom of Italy. However, not all the historic Italian lands were in the borders of the Kingdom. In the age of rising nationalism seeking to take over lands which your country believe to be de iure its own should be considered as natural.
