Yulia Egorova is a Professor of Anthropology and the Director of the Centre for the Study of Jewish Culture, Society, and Politics at Durham University. She is the author of Jews and Muslims in South Asia: Reflections on Difference, Religion and Race (OUP 2018) and a co-author (with Shahid Perwez) of The Jews of Andhra Pradesh: Contesting Caste and Religion in South India (OUP 2013). Her current research explores the notion of inter-community solidarity, focusing on initiatives in Jewish-Muslim dialogue in the UK.
